Welcome to Vicksburg Middle School's webpage! We are proud to report that VMS ranked in the TOP 10% of ALL Michigan Schools for 2010 based on the new Race to the Top ratings on our Math and Reading performance over the past two years! Way to go students and staff of VMS!

We are pleased that you have visited our site and would greatly appreciate an opportunity to have you visit our school. When you visit VMS in person you will find a great group of approximately 600 students in grades 6, 7, and 8. We are proud of our students who strive to show Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility in everything they do at VMS. We have a staff of highly qualified teachers who truly create a fun, interactive, and rich educational experience for every child in our building. Our teachers are always willing to meet with you in regards to any questions you may have about your child's progress. If you have any questions in regards to your child's progress at any time, please take the time to contact their teacher to discuss strategies for success in the classroom.

We at VMS are a CARING community of learners where each individual gives an HONEST effort, RESPECTS all others and takes RESPONSIBILITY for self!

Summer Driver Education

The student/parent informational meeting for Summer Driver Education will be held on Wednesday, June 05, from 6:00 pm-7:30pm in the Vicksburg High School PAC. Click on the link for more details.

    Summer School 2013

    Vicksburg Middle School is very pleased to offer a summer school program that is specifically designed for students who have not demonstrated academic success during the regular school year. Click on the link below for more information and the Summer School 2013 Committment Form.

    Spring Sports Physicals

    Dates for sports physicals for the 2013-2014 schools year have been set. Cost again will be only $15 per athlete. Money raised is used for athletic training supplies.

    5/28 8:00 AM- 10:00 AM MS girls physicals

    5/30 8:00 AM- 10:00 AM MS boys physicals

    6/4 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM HS girls physicals

    6/5 2:30 PM – 4:30 pm HS boys physicals

  • 2013 Physical Consent Form or stop in the office and pick up a physical consent form prior to your physical date and bring it with you. The form will need to be entirely filled out (except for the physicians section) and brought with you for you to receive your sports physical. Please use black pen. Please make sure that all information is filled in and all lines are signed to prevent delays in processing your clearance to play 13-14 sports.

    Challenge Yourself - Summer 2013

    Academically Talented Youth Program (ATYP) is offering summer day camps for students in the 6 - 9th grade and High School Seniors. There are no eligibility requirements for the summer program, but they are geared to students who are eager to learn.     Early Release/Late Start Information

    Dear Parents,

    This year we have scheduled five Late Start/Early Release Days with an important difference; the times have been flipped between Elementary and Secondary. On those days secondary students will start later than normal, and elementary will dismiss earlier than usual. Teaching staff will spend the time analyzing student achievement data, determining next steps to make a difference, curriculum development, and other related school improvement work.
